Bernadette (born Bernadette lazzara(born 28 February 1948) Peters is an American artist, musician and writer of children's books from Ozone Park Queens New York. Her long career spanning five years. She has appeared in concerts, recorded solo albums and appeared on television. She was nominated for and received 3 Drama Desk Awards. Grammy Awards have been won by four Broadway recording of cast performances in which Peters has appeared. Peters started her career in the field of stage and screen acting in her early years as a teenager. Her next move was into film and television in the 1970s. She was praised for this earlier work as well as for her performances as a character on The Muppet Show The Carol Burnett Show as well as in various TV shows and also for her roles in films such as Silent Movie The Jerk Pennies from Heaven and Annie. The actress returned to Broadway in the late 1980s which was when she became the most well-known Broadway performer for the following thirty years. She's also released six solos albums and several singles as well as casting albums. And she performs frequently in her solo concert act. Peters is also a regular performer in TV and films and has been nominated for the award of three Emmy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards which she has won at least once.
