Amanda Brugel

(February 27th of 2010 to Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a sleepy community on that part of the island of Montreal called"the West Island. Many people who don't know the name mistakenly believe that the West Island extends westward from Montreal. Actually it is the West Island includes everything westward of that city Lachine. The West Island is frequently referred to as being the place of birth for Amanda Brugel but while that may be true, her time there was not long. Brugel was raised in Courtice close to Oshawa. The first goal she had was to become an expert dancer. Then, a growth spurt caused her to outgrow every dance partner she had. According to an article in the Toronto Star, she revealed that she wore heels and was 6 feet 1 inches tall. Once I outgrew male partners at that point, I gave up. Former dancers often turn to acting and in the instance of Brugel,, it was a suggestion by her teacher of drama. A teacher suggested that she take part in an audition for the annual school production. The teacher who suggested that she go after a role in the school's annual production. When she was awarded the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she enrolled in York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. Over the past 20 years, her roles in the world of television and on the screen have been varied. The role of Rita from the award winning series The Handmaid's Tale was her most famous. Brugel was only seen on a few occasions in the first season of The Handmaid's Tale. She was the sole Canadian member.
